More than three decades on the water. Still learning every day.
FISHING HAS ALWAYS BEEN MORE THAN CATCHING FISH.
I started fishing in 1977. Long before television, tournaments, sponsors or cameras, there was simply a fascination with figuring out why fish did what they did—and how to catch them consistently.
That curiosity never went away.
Decades later, after competing in tournaments, travelling the world, producing television and teaching anglers, I'm still driven by the same thing: understanding what happens beneath the surface and making it easier for others to understand too.

But becoming a better angler starts with understanding why fish are where they are, how they react, and how to make the right presentation.

More than three decades on the water have taught me that there’s always another lesson waiting.
Different species.
Different water.
Different techniques.
The details change, but the process of figuring them out never does.
That’s what Breaking Boundaries is about — continuing to learn, testing what I think I know, and sharing what I discover along the way.
